Founded in 2002, the Utah Women's Soccer Academy was created by University of Utah women's soccer head coach Rich Manning, and assistant coach Gabriel Bolton, to give youth players from Utah and around the country the opportunity to train at the highest possible level under the direction of a Division I coaching staff.

Coach Manning and Coach Bolton personally direct each Academy, and players attending are coached by the University of Utah coaching staff, current and former Ute players, as well as other collegiate, club, and ODP coaches.

    Girls' Residential/Commuter Academy
This Academy provides female soccer players with the opportunity to develop technically, tactically and mentally. Each player is challenged in a variety of settings to reach their potential. Each player is housed in the University of Utah Residence Halls, which were host to athletes from around the world during the 2002 Winter Olympics. The players use the top training facilities at the University of Utah, interact with Utah coaches and players, and are exposed to high level coaching.

    Girls' Residential/Commuter Goalkeeper Academy
Recognizing that goalkeepers have very specific needs, this Academy is designed to give each goalkeeper a unique week long training experience. Directed by Utah assistant coach Gabriel Bolton, who is in charge of training the Ute goalkeepers, this Academy allows each goalkeeper to gain valuable position specific training. It is held in conjunction with the Girls' Residential/Commuter Academy to provide each goalkeeper with not only technical training, but also tactical experience that can only be obtained by playing games.

    Girls' Day Academy
This half-day week long experience gives girls of all levels the opportunity to train in a challenging and fun environment that exposes them to high level coaching. The Academy emphasizes the development of technical skills. Players are divided by appropriate age and skill levels in order to allow them to reach their potential.
